Jr. FF&E Designer

The Jr. FF&E Interior Designer is an entry-level position for a creative and passionate individual who is eager to learn and grow in the interior design industry. Under the supervision of senior designers, the Jr. Interior Designer will assist in all phases of design projects, from concept development to project completion. 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Assist in the development of design concepts and space planning

  • Prepare design presentations, including concept boards and material samples

  • Help maintain client design bins

  • Help in research and source furniture, fixtures, and finishes

  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors on pricing, availability and specifications

  • Assist in project management, including budgeting and scheduling

  • Maintain accurate project documentation - design decks and finish schedules

  • Assist in furniture installs

  • Help us prep, style, breakdown photoshoots

  • Keep samples organized and cataloged for ease of use

  • Decor and furnishing inventory management / storage warehouse

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Interior Design or a related field

  • 0-2 years of experience in interior design or a related field

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or other design software

  • Strong understanding of color, materials, and spatial relationships

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Passion for interior design and a desire to learn

 

Key Skills

 

  • Design Software Proficiency: AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, CANVA, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Docs

  • Design Fundamentals: Color theory, space planning, material selection

  • Communication: Verbal, written, presentation

  • Project Management: Budgeting, scheduling, documentation

  • Problem Solving: Creative solutions, attention to detail

Additional Information

 

This is a full-time position with opportunities for advancement. This role will require  a minimum of 3 days in the studio per week. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
